Danny Young, President and COO Danny Young serves as the president and chief operating office of Quality Roofing Systems with oversight of the company's sales, administration and production systems.
Danny started the business in July 1970 after serving in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. With only a few employees to start, Danny has grown Quality from a small residential roofing business to a successful commercial roofing company involved in major projects throughout New England.
He is one of the founding members of Connecticut Roofing Contractors Association.
As a family business, Danny is proud to have his brother, sister and five children involved in the success of Quality Roofing. Danny is married and has four sons and two daughters.
Matthew Young, Vice President As a teenager, Matt started working for Quality Roofing during the summertime repairing equipment and handling logistics. After graduating from Utah Valley University in 2000 with a degree in construction management, Matt joined the company full time.
During his first ten years with Quality Roofing, Matt focused on building the sheet metal department to allow the company to excel at metal roofing projects. As the second generation of family leadership, Matt now manages large scale government and municipal projects among others.
Matt has an MBA from University of New Haven and holds elected positions on the Killingworth Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Finance. He and his wife Jeannie have three sons and a daughter and enjoy physical fitness. Matt is also a volunteer coach for a shoreline wrestling team.
Deborah White, Controller Debra began her longtime career with Quality Roofing as a secretary 41 years ago. Without any prior experience, Deb has worked her way up to controller in full charge of the company's finances.
She reviews contracts and bidding opportunities for compliance issues and handles the state, local and private general contractor prequalifications. Deb is in charge of payroll, reporting and the company's Affirmative Action (AA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) monitoring and reporting. To ensure that no bidding opportunities are missed, Deb registers the company with all state and city/town procurement departments.
Deb's biggest personal accomplishment is raising a family while working full time. She's been married for 28 years and has three children and two grandsons. She likes to boat, swim, hike, refinish and repurpose furniture and go to Crossfit and Row Rage. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, sewing and interior decorating. But most of all she loves spending time with her family and taking long walks with her dog.
